A semi-supported 50 km road run along the coastal roads of northern Okinawa.
I run every kilometer with you.
This is a real 50 km road run through the coastal roads of northern Okinawa — semi-supported, coached from start to finish, on one of the most beautiful stretches of road in Japan.
A support car follows the route and stops regularly with water. You carry your own food in the car. I run alongside you from start to finish.
We depart early morning. Most runners finish in 6 to 9 hours depending on pace and conditions.
Full route details will be confirmed for the November 2026 season.
You are a runner who has completed a half marathon at a pace of 6:00/km or better. You live in Okinawa, are visiting on vacation, or are within a short flight. You want to experience a genuine long-distance run on the roads of Yanbaru — guided, supported, and at your own pace.
No ultra experience required. This is a natural step up from half marathon distance for runners who want to test themselves beyond the familiar.
I am Michal Činčiala — Czech ultra runner and coach based on Hamahiga Island, Okinawa during the camp season (November–March). I have been racing ultras since 2012 across four continents.
Badwater 135 in Death Valley. Ultra Gobi 400 km — 10th overall. Ultra Milano-Sanremo 285 km — 3rd overall. Spartathlon. MOAB 240. Authentic Phidippides Run 500 km — Athens to Sparta and back.
I run every kilometer alongside every group I take out. That is not standard in the coaching world. It is what I do.
The run is conducted in English, but I also speak Czech and Japanese — so if that's your native tongue, you're in good hands.
| Group size | Price per runner |
|---|---|
| 1 runner — private | $500 |
| 2–3 runners | $400 each |
| 4 runners | $350 each |
Includes: full 50 km run, semi-supported with water stops, coaching throughout both days.
Not included: accommodation, flights, food.
October to March. The time of year when training outdoors means dark mornings, icy roads, and treadmills. Okinawa sits at subtropical latitude — 18 to 23°C during the day, dry, with daylight to run in. We run regardless of weather — mental resilience in imperfect conditions is part of distance running.
To apply you must have:
Proof required: official race result or GPS file from a recent long run. Inquiries that do not meet these standards will not be accepted. This is about safety on a remote road course, not exclusivity.
I'll reply within 48 hours. If your inquiry looks good, I'll invite you to a short video call before confirming your spot.
After submitting, you will be asked to provide proof of fitness — a screenshot of a recent activity from Garmin Connect, Strava, or any other service.
